Here are 10 strategies that you can use regularly to market your business and expertise via Twitter. Remember, you have not more than 140 characters for your tweet (Twitter post).

1. How you’re helping clients. Talk about specific ways that your business helps clients and use their Twitter ID if you have their permission, i.e. “Just finished @clientname brainstorm great Internet marketing plan for 2009″ or “Finally finished setting up Quickbooks for local hardware store — now they can invoice their clients”

2. What you’re doing in your business. This is a perfect time to tell others when you’re blogging, writing an article, creating your weekly ezine, recording your podcast, i.e. “Had great interview with Jane Smith today on speaking to grow your biz. Great ideas! Subscribe to podcast & listen here (URL here)”

3. Useful tool or resource you’ve found. I run across these all the time in my daily activities, and Twitter is a perfect place to share,. i.e. “Found great new Firefox plug-in to monitor & check multiple Gmail accounts at same time at (URL here)” or “Read great blog post on workíng at home with kids under 5 at (URL here)”

4. Ask a question. Need some ideas or some quick brainstorming? Twitter is an ideal place to gather opinions, i.e. “Help! Desperately seeking new laser prínter. Recommendations?” or “How do I find training organizations online?”

5. Conduct a survey. What do your Tweeps think about a particular issue? Ask them via Twitter, i.e. “Quick poll: Do you get more clients from Facebook or Twitter? Respond at (URL here)”

6. Report on live events. The latest Twitter trend seems to be tweeting what’s happening at conferences or workshops. In order for Twitter users to follow a particular event, it’s usually referred to by a name preceded by a # sign, as in #JVAlert, for example, to make it simpler for people who want to follow those posts. So, if you were at an event, you might tweet “#JVAlert John Smith speaking on affiliate programs. Just got great idea on training affiliate managers!” Just don’t get so wrapped up in tweeting that you ignore the content delivered in the conference!

7. Product or service launch. If you’re about to launch a new product or introduce a new product, let your Twitter followers know, i.e. “Pre-launch pricing for new DVD set about how baby boomers can start an online biz. Get $100 early bird discount at (URL here)”

8. Responding to others with advice or answers. The way to build professional relationships on Twitter is to help your tweeps. So, if someone asks a question, comments about something to which you have a response or an idea, or you want to ask a followup question, this is the perfect place to do so.

9. Acknowledging new followers. I’ve noticed a recent trend of acknowledging people who’ve decided to follow a Twitter user in the past day or so. I initially thought that others were doing this as a measure of popularity, but what I’ve come to realize is that it’s actually helping out the new followers because it exposes their Twitter profiles to others who may have never heard of them and who might like to follow them. So, to thank your followers, you’d tweet, “Welcome new followers @twittername, @twittername, etc.”

10. Automate your tweets. Many of my tweets have been automated and connected to other things I do. TwitterFeed turns all of my blog posts into tweets. aWeber turns each ezine issue into a tweet. EzineArticles.com tweets my followers every time I publish an article through their service. Typically all that’s involved here is connecting the particular service to my Twitter account. Once all the services are connected, I get free and automated Twitter posts with no additional effort on my part.

Twitter can be a great time-waster or a wonderful way to market your business and leverage your expertise online. Follow these 10 strategies and you’ll begin to attract more followers and get more clients through social networking.

Still lack of web traffics and scratching your head? Perhaps you ought to master SEO techniques.

What is SEO, really?

SEO is the process of configuring a website so that it has a chance to show up in a search result for a particular phrase. In other words it is our way of telling Google, Yahoo, or MSN what we think our site is about. Many of the search engines have a slightly different formula for how they determine these results. But the short version is that they look at different factors of each website page, rank them and then give those results to you.

Why is SEO Important?

One word sums it up - competition. Depending on what study you read, there are as many as 20 billion web pages being indexed at any given time. The major search engines do their best to go through these pages and catalog them so that they can tell you about it if you use their website to search. With so many website pages out there competing for similar phrases it is absolutely critical to make sure you are using every tool at your disposal to make sure your customers can find you when they are looking.

OK, So What Should I Be Doing for SEO On My Site?

The good news is that doing SEO correctly is not complicated. The bad news is that it is time consuming and requires regular attention in order to maintain results. Our advice is to ethically follow these simple guidelines for best long-term results:

Good site structure - as simple as this sounds many people overlook this. Every day we see sites with heavy flash animation, dated frame designs, pages that don’t work and broken links. The bottom line is that if you can’t easily navigate a site without problems chances are the search engines can’t either. And if a search engine can’t go through your site you have absolutely no chance of showing up for a key phrase - no matter how pretty the flash.

Good meta-data - Clients often draw a blank with this one. Meta-data is geek-speak for the page titles, page descriptions and keywords that you enter for each page. Each page on your website should have a unique title and description that summarizes what that page is about.

We often see 2 problems with meta-data. The first is that it is simply overlooked. I am stunned at how many sites have www.yoursite.com as the page title for every page - that’s wasting prime online real estate.

The 2nd problem is spam. Putting in a page title or description that does not accurately match what the page is about is considered “spamming” a search engine. Doing this will get your page thrown out of the index and ruin any chance of showing up for a key phrase. Relevant content - People seem to understand that good content is really what they are looking for when they search for something. By “relevant” we mean that the content is specific to the topic in question and recently updated. More and more we are seeing sites that have regular updates or blogs showing up higher in the search results than sites which have larger quantities of older, “stale” content on them.

My recommendation is to add well-written, grammatically correct and spell-checked content to your website on a regular basis. This ensures that, over time, your site will become a “resource” to those looking for phrases related to your business.

Responsible link building - This is perhaps the least understood part of SEO. In a nutshell search engines consider a link from another website to your website as a popularity vote. Think of it as power rankings for websites. In general the more sites which link to yours, the better; as this shows your site is relevant to the given topic.

Sadly though link building, like keywords and meta-data, have been abused by many site owners with schemes such as link farms where sites are setup simply to house links to other sites. We encourage careful and responsible link building with sites that are related to yours or through appropriate directories and article banks.

So there you have it - SEO explained for people with real jobs. Like most things it’s not really that hard but it requires discipline which is where most people get off track. If you would like help with SEO for your website, or other online business needs I would love to hear from you.

Did you know that some of the most successful companies, were built by people just like you, who went on to earn millions and millions of dollars? And now I will give you the secret. Companies like Avon, Noni, and TupperWare, at one time, were unheard of, until they were introduced to the World through Network Marketing.

Network Marketing is here to stay and is becoming a MAJOR FORCE of economic growth around the World.

- World Famous Business Tycoon Warren Buffet’s largest acquisition a few years ago was Pampered Chef, a Network Marketing Company.
- Warren Buffet, of Omaha and famed billionaire stock market expert, turned heads on Wall Street in 2002 when he bought a network marketing company. Today, he no longer owns one… he owns three.(2005) (And has been quoted as saying, It’s the best investment I’ve ever made.) (Oh, and lets not forget. Warren Buffet bought almost a dozen or so Network Marketing companies last year alone 2006)
- The World’s 2 largest cosmetic companies, Avon and Mary Kay, are both network marketing companies:
- 1 out of every 6 people in Japan participate in Network Marketing and the number of active distributors in the US alone has doubled, just within the past 7 years!

So what does Warren Buffet know that most do not?

First of all, at $125,000+ per share of stock in his company, he knows that the average person just cannot afford this. However, just about anyone can afford to start their own business in Network Marketing. I mean, it’s not much more than the cost of a dinner and a movie for two and a night on the town. Perhaps this is why one of Warren Buffet’s largest acquisitions of the last few years was a Billion Dollar Network Marketing Company.

I would challenge anyone on Wall Street to take $3,000 and do what Doris Christopher has done: build a business from scratch into a world-class organization. As quoted by Warren Buffet from the foreword to The Pampered Chef. Warren also knows that conventional advertising is losing its punch and amongst other things, Network Marketing is the perfect way to reach more people.

- People are inundated by over 4,000 messages every single day - Tivo and other DVR’s allow consumers to eliminate commercials entirely
- People are becoming numb to the marketing of major companies and would rather deal with people they know or know of.

IN THIS NEW AGE A NEW WAY IS NEEDED TO BREAKTHROUGH ALL THE CLUTTER!

Ask yourself, who do you trust more, your friend or a billboard?
So, now you can see why financial luminaries including Warren Buffet, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Paul Zane Pilzer and even Richard Branson embrace network marketing.

Remember what Robert Kiyosaki, and Donald Trump said: “If I had to do it all over again, rather than build an old style type of business,I would have started building a network marketing business.” Paul Pilzer projects that over those same 10 years, the US economy will create ten million new millionaires and that many of them will be created in network marketing.

FACT: Right now, as you read these words, there are about 70,000 people around the world who are not network marketers and by this same time tomorrow, will be!

Sir Richard Branson gave my favorite quote, on the risk of entrepreneurship. If you dot take risks you wont achieve anything. The quote was why he started his own business. He wanted to do things he could be proud of.

These business men know where the smart money is going, and now that you know, you can position yourself to profit. Right now people from all walks of life are enjoying success with network marketing by unleashing the power of Knowledge.

How about you? Are you ready to make your move? If so, don’t wait any longer.
If Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Paul Zane Pilzer and Richard Branson are into network marketing and they are Billionaires why aren’t you? I know when Warren Buffet started to buy Silver everyone jumped in that market. Why have you stayed out of Network Marketing?
